For those who still doubt that America’s founding core principles, its institutions, monuments and symbols are under constant siege, one need look no further than the actual symbol of those brave colonists who fought and died for the birth of our nation.

In 1775, colonists rallied around a new symbol depicting a coiled rattlesnake above the words. "Don't Tread on Me," in keeping with America’s quest for independence.

And that symbol, referred to as the Gadsden Flag, was designed during the Revolutionary War, still embodies the rugged individualism of the American spirit, ironically however today’s federal agency that oversees workplace discrimination views that symbol in the same light as perhaps its indented target – good ol' King George III.

Once again, the grievance committee of assorted progressives, revisionists, and in this particular case an African-American federal employee who was upset worried about his coworkers wearing an “AMERICAN SYMBOL” and of course somewhere, somehow tying it to racism.

The EEOC said it received “ONE” complaint about the Gadsden flag.

The complainant claimed the Gadsden flag denotes racism because its creator, Christopher Gadsden, was a slave trader, the complainant also alleges that the flag is a "historical indicator of white resentment against blacks stemming largely from the Tea Party."

What does seem readily apparent by this allegation is that the person making the claim is both factually and historically ignorant.
