One can only imagine the joy in Tehran coming from the brink of economic disaster to getting a financial windfall and a pathway to securing a nuclear bomb, courtesy of Mr.  Obama.

And aside from capitulating on almost every issue the president seemed particularly prickly when White House reporter for CBS, Major Garrett asked the president at Wednesday’s press conference if he was “content” leaving the 4-Americans held in jail behind, and all but ignored them within the lengthy and ongoing negotiations.

“Can you tell the country, sir, why you are content with all the fanfare around this deal to leave the conscience of this nation, the strength of this nation unaccounted for in relation to these four Americans?” Garrett asked.

The president glaring at Garrett and visibly annoyed responded;  “That’s nonsense and you should know better…nobody’s ‘content’ and our diplomats and our teams are working diligently to try to get them out.”

Garrett later brushed off the tense exchange saying, “Clearly, it struck a nerve. That was my intention...Was it provocative? Yes. Was it intended to be as such? Absolutely.”

Shane Harris a reporter for the Daily Beast, reported that the 4-Americans being held  came up during negotiations over Iran’s nuclear program. “We believe very strongly that this is an opportunity for Iran to let the Americans come home,” an administration official said.

It seems that the only good thing that may come out of this disaster may be in securing the release of those 4-Americans, in that we get nothing out of this lousy deal except perhaps buying a little extra time, while Tehran is assured that no Iranian facility will be dismantled or destroyed, centrifuges will continue spinning at high levels.

It will take a minimum of 24-days (which can be extended), before a UN inspector is allowed to investigate, and in 8-years Iran will be permitted to buy ballistic missiles, and ironically just in time for Iran to break out and develop a nuclear bomb…of course the other option would have been to allow Israel to once again bomb those facilities, and push their nuclear capability back 20-years.
