Hacker Group “Anonymous” Releases Video Targeting ISIS “We Will Track You Down – Every Last One”.
The attack on the French satirical paper Charlie Hebdo was a direct assault on freedom of speech. Muslims didn't like that the paper had shown a picture of their prophet, Muhammed, so the response by Islamic extremists was to attack the paper and slaughter writers and artists from Charlie Hebdo. The hacktivist group "Anonymous" released a statement shortly after the attacks in Paris. In the release they expressed their condolences to the families and victims and then stated that they were going to start an attack on anyone getting in the way of freedom of speech. Their statement ended with the following:
Freedom of speech and opinion is a non-negotiable thing, to tackle it is to attack democracy. Expect a massive frontal reaction from us because the struggle for the defense of those freedoms is the foundation of our movement.
We are legion.
We do not forgive.
We do not forget.
"Anonymous" let the world know that they would not sit idly by as freedom of speech, a pillar of democracy and Western civilization, was attacked. While "Anonymous" declares war and vows to defend freedom, where is President Obama? The White House, even now weeks after the attack, can't say that the Paris attacks were an act of Islamic terrorism. The Obama White House, has made a vigilante hacktivist group look better than the United States. Has Obama forgotten that the First Amendment of the Constitution of the United States protects freedom of speech?
It would appear that President Obama has forgotten the oath he said when he took office, "I, Barack Hussein Obama, do solemnly swear that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States, so help me God."
Instead of protecting freedom of speech, and condemning terrorism, it would seem that President Obama would rather protect political correctness.
