It seems that every once in a while even within this politically correct environment that good triumphs over evil; and that America’s values are once again reinforced thanks in part to Sgt. 1st Class Charles Martland, who was ordered discharged last year for beating down “evil.”

Or to be more accurate roughing up a local Afghan police commander for repeatedly raping a little boy and then beating his mother, however he was told by his command to ignore rampant sexual abuse of young children by our Afghan allies because “it’s their culture.”

That didn’t stop Sgt. Martland from confronting the rapist who actually laughed off the incident, which prompted this Green Beret hero into action by roughing up this low life and knocking him to the ground.

Which of course prompted the Army to take immediate action recommending that Sgt Martland be discharged, even though he had served honorably for more than 11 years, however an Army spokesman said Thursday that Martland's status has been changed, allowing him to stay in the Army.

"I am real thankful for being able to continue to serve," Martland told Fox News. "I appreciate everything Congressman Duncan Hunter and his Chief of Staff, Joe Kasper did for me."

Most no doubt would argue that taking a stand against a child rapist was the right thing to do!
