“If you build it, he will come!” That iconic line was whispered throughout the blockbuster 1989 movie classic “Field of Dreams” depicting an Iowa farmer Ray Kinsella hearing voices and being instructed to build a baseball field on his farm.

Fast forward and that mythical character can easily fit into Donald Trump’s own real life “Fields of Dreams,” building countless golf courses all over the world. And rather than ghosts of Shoeless Joe Jackson as within the movie version, a real life legend like Jack Nicklaus, talking openly about our country, and his support of “The Donald.”

In an interview with Jim Axelrod that aired Sunday at 9 a.m. on CBS Sunday Morning, eighteen-time major winner Jack Nicklaus said he is supporting Donald Trump for President.

“Actually, Donald’s terrific,” Nicklaus said. “I’ve done several things with Donald. Golf courses. And he has absolutely treated me great.”

“I like what Donald has done. He’s turning America upside down. He’s awakening the country.”

“We need a little of that?” Axelrod asked.

“We need a lot of that. Is he a politician? Is he as smooth and politically correct as he should be? Probably not. But he’ll learn. He’s not stupid,” Nicklaus said. “He didn’t get where he was being dumb. I like the guy. He’s a good man. And certainly, if he’s the one that’s on the ticket, I’ll be voting for him.”
