Girl Starts Bawling When Officer Pulls Over Father, Next She Goes Straight Into The Cop Car
Recently a father was driving with his daughter and was pulled over by a police officer. However, the girl soon began to cry as the officer pulled over her dad. When the cop approached the car he had showed the father and daughter something that he was not about to hide. After that the father had just two words for the officer.
Michael Harris was just driving down the street in in Frisco, Texas when he was pulled over by Officer Mike Collins.
The cop said that on that day they were doing standard DOT inspections and issued Michael Harris a citation for a truck violation.
Michael's 7-year-old daughter, Mikylie, happened to be with him at the time and began to cry.
Her father said that Mikylie had become fearful of the cops after the recent media craze of officer related shootings with the black community.
"She’s seen a lot of stories on the news and one time she asked me why black people and white people are killing each other, I didn’t know what to say," said Harris.
This didn't phase officer Collins and was going to make sure to show how the majority of officers are really just trying to keep the community safe and protect the citizens that they've sworn to protect.
As soon as the officer saw the girl in distress he immediately came over and comforted the girl letting her know she shouldn't believe everything that she hears on tv.
He showed her how not all cops are bad guys, in fact most of them are really good people. He gave her a tour of the police cruiser and let her play with some of the buttons.
Understandably, Michael was very grateful of the kindness displayed by the officer and took a pic to post on Facebook.
"I don’t want her to feel that way about police," Michael said. "It meant a lot to see him take the time."
It's good to see officers showing their true colors and extending out an olive branch to help mend the severely damaged relations between the black community and police. This is the type of behavior that would be nice to see from the Black Lives Matter members exhibit but it would seem they're too busy spreading hate speech across the country.
