Former NBA Star Drops 100% Truth Bomb on Who’s REALLY Keeping The Black Community Down
For everyone who doesn't believe that a post-race America is possible, the idea that white people are keeping the black community down is commonly accepted. These are the people who think that every white person is born with an innate sense of white privilege and that other people have to live a disadvantaged life in order for their lives to have meaning.
Thankfully, there are some powerful and successful black people who don't believe in these falsehoods. Charles Barkley, the former NBA star and television host is one of them and he dropped a 100% truth bomb recently on everyone who keeps saying that it's whites who are keeping blacks down.
Barkley was a guest on a Philadelphia radio station and he opened up a can of worms when he was asked to chime in on the current racial issues that are plaguing America.
"Unfortunately, as I tell my white friends, we as black people, we’re never going to be successful, not because of you white people, but because of other black people." Barkley went on to say that black people are the real reason that black people aren't getting ahead in life these days.
He then took it a step further when the radio host asked him if he thought Russell Wilson was "black enough." Apparently Barkley had heard that phrase before because he unloaded a powerful sentence on the host.
"For some reason we are brainwashed to think, if you’re not a thug or an idiot, you’re not black enough. If you go to school, make good grades, speak intelligent, and don’t break the law, you’re not a good black person."
It's refreshing to hear someone come out and say that the problem isn't race, it's culture. That statement alone is enough to get you beat up, but the truth sometimes hurts. And that's a fact.
