President Obama, or should we now refer to him as Emperor Obama, has taken more executive actions and exerted more presidential discretion than any president in the history of America. It appears, however, that power has gone to Obama's head. He's set to enact one of the most devastating executive orders in the history of the country.

Illegal immigrants have become a huge issue in the past few years, mostly because the number of immigrants have risen and the government's willingness to deal with the problem and find solutions has disappeared.

In that same vein, Obama now thinks that he has the power to grant illegal immigrants Social Security, disability, and Medicare benefits--even though they're not legal citizens of our country.

Obama is calling his actions "prosecutorial discretion," which is a fancy way for saying that Obama is choosing not to enact the law against these illegal immigrants by turning a blind eye to their legal status.

The president is also couching his decision under a handy acronym, DAPA, which stands for Deferred Action for Parents of Americans. That program states that if parents immigrate illegally and have a child in the U.S., the parents are allowed to stay in the U.S. without penalty.

Thankfully the state of Texas is suing the Obama administration over Obama's "prosecutorial discretion." The Supreme Court this month will hear arguments in the case United States v. Texas.

The Texas solicitor general who is arguing the case stated that the main reason that DAPA is such a distressing program is because the status it grants to illegals makes them eligible for federal government benefits.

"DAPA would deem over four million unlawfully present aliens as 'lawfully present' and eligible for work authorization. And 'lawful presence' is an immigration classification established by Congress that is necessary for valuable benefits, such as Medicare and Social Security."

Let's hope that the Supreme Court sees reason in this and puts a stop to Emperor Obama's illegal ideas.
