Dr. Carson ‘Would Not Advocate That We Put A Muslim In Charge Of This Nation’
He won’t do it. Carson will not vote for a Muslim president;
“I absolutely would not advocate that we put a Muslim in charge of this nation. I absolutely would not agree with that.”
This was an answer to a set-up question by the liberal press on the heels of Donald Trump not interfering with a man’s right to free speech at a town hall who took issue with Muslims, to include the president who he accused of being a Muslim.
Carson was led along this path by MSNBC’s Meet the Press host,
“Should a president’s faith matter? Should your faith matter to voters?”
Fortunately, the always un-ruffled Dr. Carson sat there, without a change in expression and countered back,
“I guess it depends on what that faith is. If it’s inconsistent with the values and principles of America, then of course it should matter.
But, if it fits within the realm of America and consistent with the Constitution-no problem.”
MSNBC, undeterred, went for the jugular, “So, do you believe Islam is consistent with the Constitution?”
Carson, not back pedaling, said very clearly and unequivocally, “No I do not.” Which brings us back around to the statement at the top of this article.
The host then went for the Muslim in Congress question to which Carson said it depends on who the Muslim is and what their policies are, and this rule applies to non-Muslims alike. His desires for whoever is elected to any office, are as follows;
“If there’s somebody who’s of any faith, but they say things and their life has been consistent with things that will elevate this nation, and make it possible for everybody to succeed, and bring peace and harmony, then I’m with them.”
Why is this a difficult concept for the liberal wing of America? Why are they so hell-bent to get Muslims, whose faith is intrinsically part of their political ideology and the horrors of Sharia Law, into positions of power?
Do they not realize that they and the rest of the press, liberal and conservative alike, would be among the first people eliminated? Islam and Sharia Law have no place allotted for the questioning of authority.
Dr. Carson is absolutely right. There is no way to parse what he has said and try to turn it into Islamophobia, but trust that the press and every pro-Islam, pro-Sharia Law activist is going to try.
