Donald Trump Has These Harsh Words For Would Be Dem Candidates
In what ended up being a move almost as popular as the Democratic Presidential Debate itself, Donald Trump live-tweeted throughout the entire debate and had nothing but harsh words for the candidates.
CNN sponsored the debate which featured Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders, the obvious front-runners of the Democratic party, but also included Martin O'Malley, Governor of Maryland, Jim Webb, a former senator from Virginia, and Lincoln Chafee, a former Governor of Rhode Island.
Though Trump predicted that the debate would be, "a boring two hours," there were some gaffes made by the candidates which prompted pushback from Trump.
One issue where Hillary fell flat was on the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) trade deal. Trump asserted that Hillary is flip-flopping on the issue when, during the debate, Clinton distanced herself from the deal. She said that she could support the international cooperative if she was certain that it would create jobs for Americans.
Trump immediately called her out, tweeting, "The trade deal is a disaster, she was always for it!"
He followed up his criticism of Clinton with a general shot across the bow for all the Democratic candidates: "All are very scripted and rehearsed, two (at least) should not be on the stage," he tweeted.
One of the most difficult moments for the liberal candidates appeared to be a question posed to them about whether black lives matter or all lives matter. True to form, Hillary managed to dodge the question well and get away with not answering, but Bernie Sanders actually came out and said that black lives matter.
Trump pounced right away. "Sanders said only black lives matter – wow! Hillary did not answer question!"
Trump finished his night of tweeting by apologizing to his followers about the poor showing of the Democrats. "Sorry, there is no STAR on the stage tonight!" he sent out.
It's true, Mr. Trump. There were no stars and it gives us hope that the 2016 election will be a good one.
