President and Mrs. Trump traveled to Paris again, this time at the invitation of France’s President Emmanuel Macron extended this invitation to attend a Bastille Day parade and participate in the commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the entry of the U.S. into World War I in 1917.

While White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer said the two leaders would discuss the need for increased cooperation in counterterrorism efforts, as well as the economic partnership between the two countries, the Trumps took time out from their whirlwind trip for something even more important.

The First Couple met with U.S. military families serving in France as their top priority of the visit. However, the Commander-in-Chief asked First Lady Melania to speak first.

Great speaking to U.S. Embassy personnel & their families in #Paris today!

A post shared by First Lady Melania Trump (@flotus) on

The Slovenian-born former model and businesswoman proudly often speaks of her pride in becoming a U.S. citizen and the privilege of being an American.

Mrs. Trump praised the military families and everyone at the U.S. Embassy in Paris, saying that while France is “a beautiful place,” it must be hard to be away from home and family and friends.

The Trumps continue to show their support for the military men and women who serve, as well as their families who make tremendous, often over-looked, sacrifices – a stark departure from the Obama administration’s weakening of the military and use of it to promote social agendas such as the LGBT movement.

Unsurprisingly, the first lady’s comments were immediately attacked on the internet with liberal trolls mocking her accent – something that should be off-limits, as well as her commitment to the United States.

The posters even resurrected untrue and debunked claims ranging from charges that she worked as an escort in New York to dismissing her as nothing more than a “gold-digger” for marrying real estate tycoon Trump.

The Trumps, however, rarely respond to the outrageous posts, preferring to do let their work speak for itself.

The visit with the military personnel and staff at the Embassy in Paris is indicative of their tremendous respect for those who serve.

The president tweeted, “Melania and I were thrilled to be here with the dedicated men and women of the Paris Embassy, members of the U.S. military, and your beautiful families.”

He added, “I am here today to deliver a simple message – THANK YOU. You work long hours, far from home— and with little public credit—to keep our people safe and free. You do it for one reason: LOVE OF COUNTRY.”

No doubt the simple, sincere message of patriotism infuriated the liberal haters online but was a welcome appreciation for the only ones who really matter.

Please SHARE on Facebook to spread the word about President and Mrs. Trump's continued efforts to show appreciation to the men and women who serve in our military. Their sacrifice went without respect for the past eight years and is being singled out for praise now by a new president who truly values them.
