If you've been paying attention to the Republican National Convention in Cleveland, Ohio, you know that there have been huge crowds of protesters gathered to lash out against the Republican Party for picking Donald Trump as its candidate. What hasn't been broadcast as heavily by media outlets is the fact that some of these protesters are out to cause as much havoc as they can.

That havoc showed itself on Thursday, as two Cleveland police officers were taken to the hospital after being afflicted with a creepy mystery illness. Reports are all over the place, but it seems that some people believe the illness might have something to do with yellow GOP stickers that one protester was handing out.

According to reports, the yellow stickers featured a blue elephant (the symbol of the GOP) on them. Though Cleveland police have absolutely ruled out the possibility that their officers were stabbed with needles, they are still unsure about the stickers.

"2 troopers conveyed to MetroHealth for unknown illness. Not believed to be related to stickers," the Cleveland PD tweeted.

Bystanders and reporters who were in the crowd of protesters have reported that protesters were running up to police and slapping stickers on their bare skin. When removed, the stickers apparently caused numbness and tingling.

Though the police isn't pointing any fingers at stickers, the fact remains that the officers in question were treated for skin irritations, apparently so serious that one officer is still in the hospital.

According to reports, the FBI had confiscated a bag of the stickers and was working on interviewing people who may know more.

The moral of this story, if you're looking for one, is don't accept stickers from strangers. Even deeper, though, is the fact that the GOP convention is under such protest and now attack by people who don't have anything better to do.

Really, people? You don't have any better use of your time than to harass police officers and interrupt the progress of democracy? Shame on all the protesters in Cleveland.
