Couple From TV’s ‘Fixer Upper’: ‘Our Family Has Made a Commitment to Put Christ First’
No doubt we’ve all at some point within our lives, dreamed of perhaps changing our lives for the better, to dream the “impossible dream” of perhaps being self-sufficient of owning our own business, or perhaps we aspire to take whatever God-given talent we have and take that extra scary step to either fame or perhaps failure.
Whatever the dream, we’ve all at some point been there, and we’ve all wrestled with the doubt of the “what if’?
Joanna Gaines is a wife, mother, and HGTV designer and host on the show “Fixer Upper.” But, she didn’t just get lucky and wind up there one day. She had gone through a few tribulations in life until making a promise with God. Joanna kept it, and in the end He delivered.
“Fixer Upper” centers on Chip and Joanna Gaines, and shows the designers undertaking new home renovation projects each episode.
The couple met with Billy Graham Evangelistic Association and shared about their faith. This is so amazing.
“Our family has made a commitment to put Christ first, a lifestyle our parents modeled for us very well. They showed us how to keep our marriage and family centered around God.”
And that’s the straight forward and simple message that Joanna is sharing within this 4-minute video, in which she takes us on a brief journey through her doubts and perhaps understanding of what God had in store for her, and the faith in her commandment to stay the course even within her own misgivings.
