For those who are fans of country music the names Joey and Rory doesn’t need any introduction, however they do need our prayers.

Joey Feek was diagnosed with cancer in 2014 and in 2015 she informed fans that it had spread and she was stopping treatment.

Rory just posted a heartbreaking update about his ailing wife, and wrote that Joey, 40, has been "asleep for days now and her body is shutting down quickly."

Before she fell asleep, Joey Feek pulled her 2-year-old daughter into her arms and said: "…you be a big girl for your papa… and... mama will be watching over you”.

She then kissed her child Indiana, who has Down syndrome.

Rory Feek wrote his wife has no regrets.

"One of the last things Joey said before she drifted into the deep sleep she’s been in for a few days now is, 'I have no regrets… I can honestly say, that I have done everything I wanted to do and lived the life I always wanted to live.'"

Rory Feek has been chronicling his wife's battle with cancer on their blog.

Ironically Joey and Rory were nominated for a Grammy earlier this year. Their songs include "Cheater, Cheater" and "This Song's for You" with Zac Brown Band.

However if you believe in the power of prayer, then anything is possible.
