Cop Who Was Pistol Whipped Explains Why He Didn’t Shoot Black Man
It seems quite clear that America’s first responders are under attack almost on a daily basis, and the recent brutal and senseless pistol-whipping of yet another police officer simply confirms that America's law enforces are under siege, and that police officers have become victims because of a dangerous and lethal mindset, that has already cost police officers their lives.
Simply listen to what the President of the Fraternal Order of Police had to say about the police officer pistol whipped to the ground and why he didn’t fight back.
“Local law enforcement officers are walking on egg shells because they’re so hesitant of how to interact because of what’s taking place in the media,” police Sgt. Heath Boackle told The New York Daily News.
The News reported: “The Birmingham detective, whose name has not yet been released, paused while a suspect attacked him during a traffic stop because he feared the country-wide backlash he might receive for killing a black man, the head of the local police union said Friday.”
There’s little doubt that policing is a tough, dangerous and at times “thankless” job, however when you add into the mix that element of hesitation, that split second that can mean the difference between life and death, it becomes almost a lethal ingredient, as demonstrated by the number of police officers being attacked.
This particular incident sparked outrage when a photo appeared nationwide of the bloody and beaten police officer and the disgraceful comments made by those within the black community praising this thug’s vicious assault posting;
“Pistol whipped his ass to sleep,” while another referred to the detective’s unconsciousness as “nap time.”
The thug Janard Cunningham was stopped for a traffic violation and was also being questioned about a recent robbery within the area, and that’s when the officer was suddenly punched and pistol whipped with his own revolver and left bloodied and unconscious. Perhaps however, the only good thing to come out of this senseless attack, is that the officer wasn’t executed.
