CNN Caught Editing Out Calls For Violence By Sister of Police Shooting Victim
By now you would think the mainstream media and the “powers that be” would understand that with the advent of cell phone cameras, the truth will come out.
It wouldn’t be the first time they tried to rewrite the facts to suit their narrative, but they never learn – even when they are forced to issue a standard “non-apology apology.”
Deceptive editing in Katie Couric’s gun control “documentary” seemed to show advocates stumped by a simple question about background checks… except they weren’t.
The State Department acknowledged the deliberate “excision” of a question and answer about the Iran nuclear deal during a press conference, although initially claiming it was a “glitch” similar to the “technical issue” that scrubbed French President Hollande’s use of the Obama no-no phrase, “Islamic terrorism.”
CNN, however, takes the art of editing to a new level – first with the deliberate alteration of the 911 call from George Zimmerman shortly before the fatal altercation with Trayvon Martin. The edited version created the impression that Zimmerman was a racist, potentially prejudicing the juror pool in the case.
Now, the network’s reporting on the rioting in Milwaukee, with CNN Newsroom correspondent Ana Cabrera’s blatant attempt to rewrite reality seeks to influence an even larger jury pool – the voters who will decide the presidential election in November.
The Milwaukee riots erupted after an armed black man was shot by a police officer when he refused to comply with an order to drop his weapon.
The officer is black – something disregarded by the rioters who targeted whites for violence, burned cars and businesses, looted stores, and threw rocks, bricks and bottles at police.
Live coverage showed the shooting victim’s sister, Sherelle Smith, during the riot as she launched into a racial screed urging the crowd to carry the violence to white neighborhoods.
“Burnin down s*** ain’t going to help nothin! Y’all burnin’ down s*** we need in our community. Take that s*** to the suburbs. Burn that s*** down! We need our s***!”
CNN’s Cabera, however, portrayed the protesters as peaceful, claiming they held a vigil “marked by prayers” even going so far as to describe Smith as, “calling for peace.”
Maybe CNN just speaks a different language from the rest of us who interpret “Burn that s*** down!” as something less than a call for peace.
UPDATE: According to one source, CNN has made changes to the story after being called out, read more here.
