Chargers Have AWESOME Plan Lined Up For Kaepernick – ‘Salute To The Military’ On Thursday Night
Why anyone is still interested if this “third string” malcontent will set, stand or growl at the singing of our nations “National Anthem” is beyond my understanding.
No doubt the optics are interesting in that Kaepernick will be playing for the first time since he decided to sit on his ass, which in all probability he will continue doing, “sitting on the bench” if he’s not actually cut by the 49ers.
The Thursday night game hosted by the Chargers has been dubbed a “Salute to the Military.” And will showcase Petty Officer 1st Class Steven Powell, in dress whites, singing the “National Anthem.”
And while no doubt all eyes will be on Kaepernick, the real show will be from America’s true hero’s the Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marines and the 240 soldiers, sailors, airmen, and Marines holding a massive “super flag” on the field.
The sporting event will also honor at halftime, 6-Vietnam war veterans as a remembrance of the 50th anniversary of the war, plus a special tribute to our wounded warriors who will also be on hand as special guests, the patriotic celebration will conclude with what else? Fireworks!
Kaepernick has gone as far as to say that he thinks servicemen and women who have died fighting for their country have died in vain.
“I have great respect for the men and women that have fought for this country,” he insisted Sunday. “I have family, I have friends that have gone and fought for this country. And they fight for freedom, they fight for the people, they fight for liberty and justice, for everyone. That’s not happening. People are dying in vain because this country isn’t holding their end of the bargain up, as far as giving freedom and justice, liberty to everybody.”
And oh yes if Kaepernick will stand or growl back into his hole…and do you really care?
