Dr. Ben Carson has scored a victory, so early in kind-of-running-for-president, kind-of-not-running in 2016. The US Herald reported Wednesday about the leftist propaganda and political outfit, the Southern Poverty Law Center, and their attempt to take a 2016 shot at smearing the good doctor's name. Apparently, that did not work out like they had planned.

The Daily Mail reported Thursday that the Southern Poverty Law Center chose the higher road, swallowed their leftist pride and did something only lowly conservatives and Republicans do, apologized. The disgraceful group lumped Dr. Carson in with 'white nationalists, anti-gay zealots, black separatists, racist skinheads, neo-Confederates' and others.

So, what did this potentially faux apology look like? Did they cry? Was it sincere? That is for you to decide. Fox News reported that this apology was placed on their website.

"In October 2014, we posted a 'Extremist File' of Dr. Ben Carson. This week, as we've come under intense criticism for doing so, we've reviewed our profile and have concluded that it did not meet our standards, so we have taken it down and apologize to Dr. Carson for having posted it."

It would appear to be a sincere apology, if it not where for the second half of this half-serious apology, or more like save face statement.

"We've also come to the conclusion that the question of whether a better-researched profile of Dr. Carson should or should not be included in our "Extremist Files" is taking attention from the fact that Dr. Carson has, in fact, made a number of statements that express views that we believe most people would conclude are extreme."

Dr. Carson, the former Johns Hopkins pediatric neurosurgeon, was originally famous for being the first to separate conjoined twins at the head. He holds 40 honorary doctorates, has a professorship named after him, and was awarded the American medal of freedom. It was only after his disparaging remarks about Obamacare, and other various Democrat policies within spitting distance of President Obama, that landed him in the hot seat with every lefty, establishment Democrat, and radical left group.

The position that marriage should stay defined as a man and a woman, plus his radical notion that our tax system needed to be scrapped and replaced is was landed him on the racist, extremist Southern Poverty Law Center.

So, it is 'Sorry, but we are not sorry, but we are sorry people are upset?' Well, what did you expect?

What are your thoughts?

Was the Southern Poverty Law Center sincere, but protecting their status among their lefty friends?

Does Dr. Carson deserve to be on the extremist? Will they quietly put him back on?
