An investigation by the U.S. Attorney’s Office has uncovered a fraudulent ID racket within the Massachusetts Registry of Motor Vehicles (RMV) and led to the arrest of four state employees from the Boston office, as well as two outside accomplices.

The state employees created the authentic IDs using verifiable information from the RMV’s database and passed them along to the accomplices who sold them on the street to illegals and deportees for more than $2,000 each – always in cash.

In at least one instance, an ID was sold to a person who confessed to having been convicted of a drug felony.

According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, the phony IDs were also used by the illegals to register to vote at Boston polling places during last year’s presidential election.

An anonymous tip in October 2015 to the Massachusetts State Police reported a “corrupt RMV employee” who was creating authentic identification cards, and led to the nearly two-year investigation.

All six of the conspirators – the four state RMV employees and the two accomplices who sold the IDs to illegals were charged in federal court with aggravated identity theft.

Another arrestee listed only as John Doe was also charged as authorities are trying to sift through his many aliases to determine his true identity.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office says the investigation into the ID scheme is ongoing and further charges against those in custody may be pending, and additional arrests may be forthcoming.

As the Trump administration continues to press its investigation into voter fraud, receiving pushback from liberal sources who claim it is a witch hunt that unfairly targets immigrants – both legally and illegally present in the U.S. – cases like this underscore the prevalence of schemes designed to provide identification cards to those who have no business in the country, let alone voting.

Please SHARE on Facebook to alert others to the schemes that provide stolen identities and IDs to those in the country illegally who use them to register to vote. President Trump should continue to investigate voter fraud to uncover similar conspiracies.
