The liberal “ladies” of The View, ABC’s long-running daytime show have driven yet another conservative Christian woman off the set, even as the show struggles for ratings in its 20th season.

Candace Cameron-Bure, co-host for only two season, made the announcement on air, attributing her departure to the difficulty in commuting between the coasts to meet her commitment to starring in the Netflix series, “Fuller House,” as well as various projects with the Hallmark Channel.

Cameron-Bure said she had made the decision to leave the show to spend more time with her family, but the familiar words suggest the conservative was let go from the über-liberal show that has seen co-hosts exit through a revolving door almost annually.

Cameron-Bure herself was hired in July 2015 in the hopes that a Christian with a conservative perspective would create the same ratings success as in the seasons when Elizabeth Hasselbeck sparred with co-host Rosie O’Donnell.

An insider said ABC’s producers and showrunners, “love that kind of stuff… because it’s great for ratings and keeps them in the news.”

The show was the brainchild of liberal news anchor, Barbara Walters, and has gone through numerous changes to the panels – with Rosie O’Donnell leaving and returning, then departing again – in an effort to create emotional confrontations between the members of the panel over issues of race, politics and sex.

Host Whoopi Goldberg gave Cameron-Bure a slightly off-color farewell dig at her strong Christian morality, saying, “You miss your family… with all the sex talk we do, you miss your husband.”

ABC has not announced who will be the next token Christian conservative for the liberal women to use as a ratings ploy.
