BREAKING: ATF Just Made Horrifying EXPLOSIVE Discovery Along Texas Border That Poses HUGE Threat To Americans’ Safety
It seems the situation along our southern border continues to be a major security threat, just as Trump has been warning throughout his entire campaign. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives along with the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement conducted a raid in Texas on Monday, where 6 individuals, one illegal, were arrested for manufacturing grenades and selling them to undercover agents.
"A total of six individuals remain in custody following their arrest on Tuesday after a criminal complaint was filed alleging the illegal receipt or possession of destructive devices that were not registered in the National Firearms Registration and Transfer Record," read a statement released by ICE, once again bringing border security and violence into the spotlight.
"Those arrested include Celin Javier Montoya, 23, Anthony Ozuna, 20, Alfredo Rivera, 24, and Pedro Vega, 40, all of Edinburg, Texas; Noe Gonzalez, 19, of San Juan, Texas; and Jonathan Sanchez-Torres, 19, an illegal alien from Mexico who was residing in Pharr, Texas."
These weren't a few rogue individuals trying to make a dangerous buck on the side either.
"The complaint alleges Ozuna and Rivera were attempting to broker the sale of improvised hand grenades or improvised explosive devices," read the press release.
"The two men were allegedly acting on behalf of Montoya and Vega." The charges reveal that from Nov. 5 to 11, ATF and HSI special agents were involved in and undercover operation, where agents purchased every hand grenade Montoya and Vega had available to sell.
"During the course of this investigation, ATF and HSI special agents discovered Montoya and Vega allegedly obtained the grenades from Gonzalez and Sanchez-Torres. The complaint also alleges that for about six months, Gonzalez purchased from a combination of online merchants and local stores all the components necessary to construct dozens of improvised hand grenades, including grenade hulls, spring kits, fuses and black powder. The assembled ‘live’ hand grenades were then turned over to Sanchez-Torres to be distributed, according to the allegations."
Even though the investigation was still in its early stages it showed a very real issue that border security presents, violence coming as a result of illegal activities along the U.S.-Mexico border.
In 2009 there was a similar case, in which a man sold 183 grenades to people, who he believed to be cartel members, but, who were actually undercover agents.
One thing that this proves beyond a doubt is that our lackadaisical attitude towards border security has put American citizens in jeopardy, especially in the border states. Luckily, unlike Obama, Trump realizes what a risk to American's safety our southern border poses, and he has a plan to make our borders safe again.
Please share if you think we need to build the wall ASAP.
