“Mercifully” one would hope that the self-serving Colin Kaepernick media circus may be finally coming to an end and that this guys 15-minutes of fame, which should have been on the gridiron is taking one last gasp, before fading off into the sunset.

However while Colin Kaepernick antics may fade away, the residue of his actions may in fact continue on as law enforcement may in fact have the final word, in that those men and woman in blue may exercise their own right to freedom of expression and refuse to work security at the San Francisco 49ers games.

A letter written by police union members and obtained by NBC, states that if the 49ers don’t take action against Kaepernick’s shameful antics, “It could result in police officers choosing not to work at your facilities.”

The letter continued stating that; “the board of directors of the Santa Clara Police Officer’s Association has a duty to protect its members and work to make all of their workings environments free of harassing behavior.”

Moreover the 49ers are standing behind Kaepernick’s stupid antics for now, stating:

“In respecting such American principles as freedom of religion and freedom of expression, we recognize the right of an individual to choose to participate, or not, in our celebration of the national anthem.”

However in the final analysis it will be the fans who decide the fate of Colin Kaepernick, and I’m betting he won’t be around next season.

Do you think local police are doing the right thing by standing up to Kapernick?
