Representative Trey Gowdy, the chair of the House Select Committee on Benghazi, hasn't forgotten about the American lives that were lost on September 11, 2012. And he isn't willing to forget about any of the parties that were involved in Benghazi, including Hillary Clinton.

During an interview with press agents he was asked if he planned on interviewing former secretary of state Hillary Clinton. His response was, "Every witness who has relevant information needs to be talked to."

He is unwilling to do a lackluster investigation, "If I were to conclude this investigation having not talked to the secretary of state at the time, it would be an incomplete investigation. But I can’t talk to her until I have the documents that would make conversation productive. I’m not interested in having a conversation where old allegations are repeated or a shouting match."

Unfortunately, he's still waiting on certain documents that would make the interview productive. He's also dealing with resistance from Representative Elijah Cummings, the ranking Democrat on the House Select Committee on Benghazi. Gowdy said, "Initially, Mr. Cummings supported our bringing her before the committee. In all of my private conversations with him, he supported that. Something happened, something changed, I don’t know what that was, and I’m not going to guess on what that was."

While Rep. Gowdy is fighting politicized resistance from the left on getting answers for what really happened in Benghazi, and justice for the four American lives lost there it sounds like he's not willing to let Clinton walk away without having to answer to the committee. One possible theory on Cummings's resistance to have Clinton speak to the committee could be the potential for the investigation to mar Clinton's reputation (because it's so stellar) for her possible 2016 bid for Presidency.

Hopefully Clinton will pull on her big girl panties and do the right thing and meet with the committee, but that will probably happen after pigs fly.
