Shooter Trenton Trevon Lovell on left, Sgt. Steve Owen right

The culture of violence continues, thanks in part to a pervasive attitude within the black inner cities, fostered by hate groups like the New Black Panther Party and more prominently Black Lives Matter. And it’s within this culture of violence that another police officer was once again senselessly cut down, while attempting to do his duty.

Sergeant Steve Owen, a 29-year veteran of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department was responding to a robbery in progress at a home in Lancaster, CA. and arrived within moments on the scene, when he encountered the robbery suspect, who immediately fired at the approaching officer, hitting him in the face.

Within moments of the gunfire, a massive manhunt of the shooter began, and within a short time later the suspect was located and once again a firefight ensued, leaving both a deputy and the suspect wounded, however the suspect still managed to escape by stealing a sheriff’s vehicle and ramming it into a police cruiser, however he was later captured.

Tragically Sergeant Owen did not survive his injury and died while being rushed to a nearby hospital.
The suspect was another thug with a long rap sheet and an active parole from Antelope Valley.

Owen was a highly decorated officer and received the department’s Medal of Valor in 2014, the highest honor bestowed on officers.
