Since the Black Lives Matter movement has gained momentum, race-baiters like Al Sharpton and others have gained in popularity and have convinced regular everyday Americans that police are the true enemy and they try to criminalize African Americans more than anyone else.

Just after 6 p.m., a Nashville Officer, Matthew Cammarn witnessed an assault on a woman and immediately sprang into action.

As Officer Matthew Cammarn tried to arrest the man, the man fought back. Everything was captured on video and is now viral on Facebook.

The crime rate has gone up against police officers after the Black Lives Matter movement gained popularity. Obviously the police officers are not targeting African Americans, but that thought has already circled everyone’s mind and officers are being attacked as a result.

Since the incident, the suspect that was responsible is now being charged with assault. Officer Matthew Carmmarn was awarded the Police Officer of the Year in 2015 for saving a 17-year-old gunshot victim.

The incident occurred at James Cayce public housing on Tuesday, April 12th, when Brian Shannon allegedly attacked Officer Cammarn after the officer tried to arrest him.

Brian Shannon has since been charged with felony aggravated assault on a police officer, evading arrest, criminal trespassing, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and drug possession.
