VIDEO: Black Lives Matter Organizer Says They Will Shut Down GOP Convention if Possible
Black Lives Matter is one of the most powerful movements to enter the American mainstream since the Tea Party. Unfortunately, the Black Lives Matter organizers are using the power and movement behind the group to scratch away at democracy.
In a recent interview on MSNBC, one of the co-founders of Black Lives Matter, Patrisse Cullors, said that the racially identified group will do everything that they can to interrupt and slow down the GOP's conventions and meetings.
"Trust and believe that any opportunity we have to shut down a Republican convention, we will. We will make sure that our voices are made loud and clear," Cullors said.
But that wasn't all that Cullors said during her interview. She also made it a clear point to refer to the starting point of the Black Lives Matter movement as having its beginnings "this last year since the murder of Mike Brown."
It's unclear to us whether or not Cullors actually paid any attention to the findings of the Obama administration's special investigation into the death of Mike Brown. That special investigation found no motive or evidence that Mike Brown was murdered.
But that doesn't matter because the Black Lives Matter movement isn't fueled by reason or argument, it's fueled by anger and action.
Anger and action are great tools, tools that early Americans used to break free from Great Britain and establish the United States as a sovereign nation.
But the way that the Black Lives Matter movement is using anger and action is tearing down the democratic system of our government. If they continue to pledge to interrupt and break apart the conventions of one of the two largest political parties in the country, they are obviously not working for the benefit of the greater America.
Black Lives Matter, please wake up and see that if you attack the GOP, you attack all of America and the freedoms for which it stands. Those freedoms let you do what you're doing. Don't attack them.
