Dr. Ben Carson, Republican presidential candidate, has zero interest in seeing, voting for, or even supporting a Muslim being elected to the highest office in the land.

Make no mistake, Dr. Carson means exactly what he says, and he said it very clearly while on NBC. When asked whether or not someone’s faith should matter with respect to candidates, Carson said,

“I guess it depends on what that faith is.”

It’s a pretty sure bet that most of us out here in America would have said the same thing. Dr. Carson went on to finish his statement with the following;

“If it’s inconsistent with the values and principles of America, then of course it should matter. But if it fits within the realm of America and consistent with the Constitution, no problem.”

In follow-up, Chuck Todd asked the obvious;

“Do you believe that Islam is consistent with the Constitution?”

Carson, without hesitation said,

“No, I don’t, I do not.

I would not advocate that we put a Muslin in charge of this nation. I absolutely would not agree with that.”

Uh-oh. Fire bells started ringing in every liberal left wing news room across America. Blood was in the water and the sharks began to circle. Rather than do what some candidates would do and walk his statement back, Carson has done nothing other than double-down when the need arises.

It is so refreshing to see a potential president having a spine of steel that is in support of America’s founding principles of freedom-the Constitution, rather than the one we have who is dead set on a mission to re-make our country into something we are beginning to not recognize.

Stay true, Dr. Carson. American patriots support your statements nation-wide.
