They say a “picture is worth a thousand words” and if that old adage merits any truth, then the mug shots of this motley crew speaks volumes.

This band of marauding misfits disguised as political activists, under the banner of “Black Lives Matter” decided it would be a good idea to block a major highway at rush hour, as a form of protest.

And indeed they did on July 18th as 13-protesters blocked Interstate 95, in Richmond, Virginia, chanting “Black Lives Matter!” and “No justice, no peace, no racist police!”

Apparently these fools didn’t comprehend the potential physical danger involved in blocking a highway where automobiles, trucks and emergency vehicles are traveling at speeds of 65, 70, 75 and even 80-miles an hour or perhaps they did!

The demonstrations were in response to perhaps several police shootings of Alton Sterling and Philando Castile at the beginning of the month.

Alton Sterling 37 was involved in an altercation with police officers after police received a call of a disturbance at a convenience store, and upon arrival Sterling apparently resisting arrest was thrown to the ground, and a struggle ensued between a police officer and Sterling, who allegedly was attempting to reach for an object in his pocket, and was shot. Police officers say they saw a "butt of a gun" in Sterling's pocket during the attempted arrest.

In the other incident Philando Castile 32, was fatally shot during a traffic stop, when reaching for his ID, he informed police he had a gun permit and was armed, and was shot. The police officer has since been charged with manslaughter.

Obviously these two incidents of police shootings are vastly different to one another, and are being investigated, however its worth noting that indiscriminate police shootings are an anomaly.

No doubt these protesters have a constitutional right to protest, however they do not have a right to put innocent motorists in danger, or worst perhaps create a major accident and mayhem on our nation’s highways.

Moreover out of the 13-demonstrators only 1 is from Virginia, which lends credence that these demonstrations by “Black Lives Matter” are being well-funded by someone, perhaps George Soros himself?

Davis Powell the Richmond prosecutor outlining the case for the Richmond Times-Dispatch said:  “It was rush hour. They put themselves in danger, and they put other people potentially in danger, so we thought that five days in jail was an appropriate punishment.”
